Story shared: Volunteered to sponsor my driving test

As a sixteen year old, I was more than excited on the day I was to get my driver's license. However, my hopes were fading fast when the person sponsoring my driving test (my father) discovered that his driver's licence had expired two days before. Jack McHugh came to my rescue by kindly volunteering to sit in my father's place. During the test, he sat in the back seat and silently gave hand gestures to help me avoid bumping the curb during the dreaded three point turn. Of course he knew the registry cop giving the test, so I was very pleased and confident that I would pass with flying colors. Thanks again Jack!

Words cannot express the sadness we are feeling with the loss of our Dear Uncle Jack. He will be sadly missed, but certainly never forgotten! Never forget all the good times had! Seems like yesterday we were sitting at the kitchen table on Salem Street for hours listening to him tell stories about family, friends and life!
