Babysitting little Patrick
I have known the Grahams for many years. Our backyards were connected and our families were close for other reasons. I babysat Patrick more times than I can count. When I first started babysitting Chris, Jackie, Jeff and Patrick, Patrick was a mere 4 years old. His raspy voice and thick head of hair melted my heart. His exuberance was contagious. I couldn't help but giggle at his creative attempts to avoid bedtime. But, when he was ready to settle down, he would hop on the bottom bunk (Jeff was on the top) and would ask me to lie down next to him and read one book after the other. He would provide pretty hilarious commentary. Patrick was incredibly funny. After several stories, he would doze off and I would sneak downstairs to eat all of the treats in the kitchen cabinet. The Grahams always had awesome snacks. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with the kids. Patrick had an energy and could enliven any room. Rick and Tricia have been so kind to me and the rest of my family. I am thinking of you, Rick, Tricia, Chris, Jackie and Jeff, and I hold Patrick in my heart. God Bless. Abby DeLaney
